Courses in care - college edition
There are many courses that you can take which involves care and each one is very similar.

AS/A2 Health and Social care
This course is Level 3 and this course will last for 2 years.
course summary...
This course aims to develop your understanding of health, early years care and education, social care and the key issues affecting those sections. It combines academic study with application of theories during visits to care establishments. You will develop skills of research, evaluation and problem-solving in a work-related context.
How will you be assessed...
Assessment is based on 40% exam and 60% coursework.
Entry Requirements...
Five GCSEs including English language and Maths at grade C or above.  
How much time will you spend on the course...
4.5 hours each week.
How the course will be delivered...
Three lectures per week, with occasional workshops for visits to care settings.
Who will this course be suitable for...
Anyone interested in careers in health and social care or in academic study exploring areas of social policy.
What is mandatory modules or units...
For AS, you will study: Human growth and development; Communications and values; and positive care environment. For A2, you will  study: Meeting individual needs; promoting health and well-being; and investigating diseases.
